Solved Internet Explorer Crashed while Surfing:Now I can't open any programs

ok,so i tried to restore to factory ship.pressed f8 on boot and then repaire computer.it goes shoes windows loadin files and status bar but nothing happens,sat like that for 3 hours.any ideas?

AHA!!! well i probably did things the wrong way but it's fixed.reinstalled win 7 but wasn't able to back up anything and so i didn't have any drivers to reload, one of which was my network drivers so i couldn't set up my internet connection.well after banging hy head against my key board i remembered that i had created a restore disc when i first got this computer (OMG I felt so stupid) ran restore from disc and now is all good.Thank you to all who helped,you guys rock!!!
