Internet TV Installation Error

I am trying to install Internet TV on WMC so I can watch free streaming TV programs. When I click on the install button, WMC starts to download about 5 MB of data. When it finishes downloading, it gives me an error - Installation Error, A problem occurred during installation. Please try again later. The only option I have is "Close". I tried to reinstall many times but every time yielded the same error. I couldn't find anything in the event logs wrt this error. Where should I look and what should I do? Please help!

1. Delete everything in the c:\programdata\microsoft\ehome directory
2. Launch Run Setup again in WMC menu
3. Run Download Now from the menu
4. Wait about 2 minutes for download to finish.. you get a message when it finishes
5. Run Internet TV from list and install.

Thanks for the reply. I tried the suggested steps few times and I am still getting the same installation error when I try to launch and install Internet TV. Where does it keep the error log(s)?

What are you using for an AV product? Perhaps the downloaded file is being blocked? Can you provide a screenshot of what you see when an error occurs? Have you tried the troubleshooter? MCUpdate events are in the event viewer.

I managed to solve the provlem of Internet TV not properly installing and instead giveing the error message 'a problem occured, please try again later'. By temporarily removing a second language in control panel>Regions and Languages and running the Internet TV setup in Windows media Player, I was able to install Internet TV successfully. After the installation completed correctly and I was able t view Internet TV, I reset the second language as it was before.

I fixed it!

Restart windows media center setup
>tasks>settings>general - then restart the setup.
>Upon the setup, do no check(download covers of the internet bla bla bla)
>install internet tv
you are good to go.
