iPod causes Windows to freak out

Hey guys, I have a 1st gen iPod Touch and just installed the 7 RC. Now when I connect the iPod it causes iTunes to freeze, as soon as I unplug it itunes works fine. It also causes my webcam to freak out when plugged in but again, as soon as it's unplugged everything works fine. Do you guys have any thoughts/fixes?

Sounds like its just a problem with the early iPods. It's probably just too old haha :P
