Solved is hard disk broken or controller

The drive is probably ok. A broken pin will not allow it to communicate right with the system. Did you break the pin on your mobo or the drive.

Bummer. I suppose your board has only one IDE header too?
If you have data on the WD80GB, 1. you can put it in another PC and copy your files to DVD's or USB drives, 2. Get an external enclose for the drive so you can copy stuf from it that way.
The broken pin could be repaired but it would probably cost more that a new one.

Coming late to the party, but why do you want to install Win7 on an ATA drive? Better throughput with sata. You generally want your OS on your fastest drive. 80 GB is a doorstop these days anyway...

Another suggestion for getting data off the drive is to use an IDE--> USB adapter:

sorry for not beeing transparent,the windows 7 is on sata disk drive,prehaps i will have to invest some money on new motherboard or go to nearby ASUS service,all i know that in Croatia boards are about 70 euros,middle class,but I have little hope it can be fixed or replaced nearby without gaving away to much time and money
