Hello everyone.
I have always thought the windows upper stripes are a bit useless because it's a waste of screen space just for the maximize, minimize and close buttons and program names. This issue is even more annoying (at least for me) nowadays with the current 16:9? screen proportion, which is, on the other hand, very good for other purposes.
Add to it the fact that menus bars are located right beneath it and the result is a very horizontal proportion of screen effective area. This becomes not very advisable running some programs in which a more vertical one would suit better.
It's possible to set menu bars vertically at the sides of a window in some programs, as Autocad, and actually it's so easy as to click on them and drag them towards the side you want to.
I don't remember seeing them vertically at the right or left of a Window's window. I'm browsing the internet looking for something to do it but I have found nothing thus far, neither in Windows help.
Well, I know F11 and the a sliding task bar partially solves this issue but I think that not in case you have two windows at the same time.
Is there a way to set either the window upper stripe and menu bars at the side of a window?
Thanks in advance.
