Is it safe to remove old software versions?

When I look in Programs and Features there seem to be a number of versions of the same software. Eg:
Adobe Flash player 16 ActiveX
Adobe Flash player 21 NPAPI
Adobe Flash player 30 PPAPI - latest
Can I remove 16 and 21?

Microsoft Visual C++ 2008
Same 2008
Same 2010
Same 2015 - latest

Seems to be quite a lot of duplication??

I would remove Flash 16 and 21. It is unlikely you will ever need the old versions if you have a newer version installed.

Visual C++ is different - you may have a program installed on your computer which needs an older version of Visual C++. I suggest you keep all of the installed versions of Visual C++.

Microsoft Visual C++ is used by some programs, games, etc. They have different versions so I wouldn't uninstall them unless you have programs and what not you're sure don't use those libraries.

I wouldn't touch Visual c++. I'm not sure if it'll happen to you but there is a dreaded blue screen related to messed up installs of that software. Plus as stated it could be used by third party software that you have installed and such software will fail if you remove it.

I recommend BC Uninstaller it's open source and pretty nice uninstaller.
