Yesterday when booting my desktop I got a message that my hard drive is failing and to back it up. So I put it into my server to scan it with Windows Seatools. It passed the Smart test, the short drive self test, and the short generic test however the long generic has now been running almost 19 hours and Windows has now told me 3 times this morning that the drive is failing. More information specifies the drive I am checking. There are times that the test seems to have gotten stuck however I've gotten it up to 81%. I was hoping that the test would finish so that I could get a report. So is the drive dying? It's a Hitachi hds721010cla332 1 tb. Computer information is in the system specs under pc 1.

I am attaching screenshots from HD Sentinel. All I did to the system yesterday was remove a secondary drive with the computer shut down. No issues for the past 6 months with that drive. I did transfer a lot of data too it as well. Could that have done it?

The long check never completed. I am now back to running my desktop and no error messages that the drive is failing.
