Do you mean add more RAM?

Yes it is possible depending on your machine but it's best to buy ram that is the same, or very similar to what you currently have.

Adding any old ram is a recipe for trouble. Instability problems like crashing/freezing is what you too look forward to.

If however your laptop has a 4GB limit, then no you cannot.
