Hello:)
I have an "Acer laptop Extensa 5235 " with 2 GHz processor , 1GB RAM and 512 monitor .
On C I have XP and actually it is so perfect .
but on E .... theer is "the great 7" and it is also the most perfect .
The problem is when I open Task manager , I see the "memory is 800~900~700" is that normal or dangerous or what ?
Very thanks for every little help.

Well you didn't really tell us a whole lot, like what version of 7. I assume those numbers are in megabytes and they are seen under Windows 7. 1GB is the bare minimum for 32bit, and half of what you need for 64bit. If you're using 32bit, its a little high in my opinion. If its 64bit, then the person who sold you that computer is an idiot, and the numbers aren't surprising at all.

Please fill out the "My System Specs" so that we can be of more assistance. I use Speccy.

You will definitely benefit from increases the amount of ram in your system. 2 GB is, in my opinion, the minimum when using Win7. I increased the ram in my laptop to 4 GB.

Okay, now go to your User CP (link is at the top of this page) and put that info into you system specs. Then we can see what they are no matter where you post on the site. It will save us from having to ask you every time you have a problem.

Sorry for the delay. I'm a little busy with other people at the moment. You RAM speed sounds off, so I'm going to get a second opinion from someone. 1GB isn't much, so we can see what we can do to lower then the RAM usage in a bit.

Your memory usage is fine. Until you actually get a high amount of hard faults, do not concern yourself with memory usage.

I still think its high. You definitely can't install 64bit unless you have at least 2GB of RAM. I still think the timing with your ram is off, but I'm waiting to hear from someone else first.

Your memory frequency is fine. It looks as though you have DDR3-800, which is the lowest frequency for DDR3 modules. If you multiply the 399MHz that you stated above by 2 you get 798MT/s, which is near enough 800.

See DDR3 SDRAM - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia for an explanation.

Okay. Thanks for the info dwarf. Just wanted to be sure.

You might be able to free up some RAM by going to msconfig (type it in the the start menu's search bar) and going to the start-up tab. Untick any programs you don't need at start-up. Generally in things by intel, MS, and your antivirus need to be left on. The rest is up to you. You can also go to services, and turn off Superfetch, Tablet PC Input Service (if you don't have a touch screen) and Indexing.

thats a poor lantency but like the above post that is normal for that ram unless it was enhanced to be much faster

if you want a increase you need to change the ram alltogether to a more faster style ddr3 with a lower latency im using ddr2 but this is a example of that program that was suggested speccy
