I sent in a WD1001FALS-00J7B1 for RMA, WD sent me WD1001FALS-00E8B0 back...
Are there any differences?

From what I've read, they are essentially the same. They only have minor hardware differences/firmware revisions.

Essentially unless you notice anything wrong with the drive then I wouldn't worry, they likely sent you an updated revision of that model.
