Is there a way to inactivate the Caps Lock toggle key

I know that in regedit on can set the caps lock to 0 (default) which sets the Caps Lock in the off position. However, in my win XP machine I was able to inactivate the key completely to prevent the accidental annoying Cap Lock on.

Any suggestions,

I use Caps Unlock. It disables the Caps key until you need it. You can re-enable the Caps key by holding down the Shift key, press the CapsLk key, then release the Shift key. When done, to re-disable it, just press the CapsLk key again.

Thanks Lady Fitzgerald and BrightBlessings for your assistance and the two alternate options for inactivating the Caps Lock key. Will give each a try and see which best meets my needs.
