Is there any "open all" option for right click?

I have several shortcuts of exe files in a folder and with right click - open all option (there is no option like that, I am looking for it) or I don't know with some type of macro, I want to open them at the same time. Is there any way to do this?

When I choose them all, and right click - open, just opens one at the moment.

Yes, a batch file will be ok.
I don't know what a batch file is right now, but I am guessing it is something like a macro.
Anyway, any command or file will be ok.
All I want to do is open them all at the same time instead of double clicking them one by one.

I can create the script for you if you wish?
I would need the location of the short cuts (e.g. c:\users\JDobbsy1987\Shortcuts\)
And the name of the short cuts you have (maybe a screen shot)

Some people are a little hesitant about running a script made by someone (due to malicious software) if you feel this, i won't be offended, i can talk you through creating it

Well, all shortcuts are in a folder called "New Folder" on desktop right now.
So, if you can create a batch file for let's say for 4 shortcuts (Let's say shortcuts for 1.exe, 2.exe, 3.exe, 4.exe located in a folder named "New Folder" on desktop, (and I am guessing, I can open that batch file in notepad or another program), then I can change the batch file according to my needs.
(I can open that file in notepad, right? -Or in Visual Studio, doesn't matter).

You can create a batch file and edit it in notepad:

You should then hopefully be able to just put the full path to the .exe's in the batch file

e.g.

c:\users\jdobbsy1987\desktop\msword.lnk
c:\users\jdobbsy1987\desktop\msexcel.lnk

The batch file should just run and close when finished, it shouldnt take too long.

if the batch file window stays open and some programs don't start just let us know and we will work on it

I guess I know why all the programs are not running.
It is waiting for the first program to close.
I wrote the batch file.
It only opened 1.exe.
I closed that program and it opened 2.exe automatically.
I closed 2.exe and it opened 3.exe automatically, and so on.
Any way to work around this?

Try writing the word 'start' before each line...

start c:\users\jdobbsy1987\desktop\msword.lnk
start c:\users\jdobbsy1987\desktop\msexcel.lnk

No, it is just opening a cmd screen for each "start" command.
And by the way, the shortcut commands didn't work, so I had to write

"c:\program files\folder name\app name.exe"
"c:\program files\folder name 2\app name 2.exe"

But as I said, that way, it is waiting for the first program to close to run the second program.

What programs are they?

I have tested on a few different programs and where the cmd windows stays open the 'Start' command fix's that issue.

Some sound and video editors.
The bat file is on the desktop and when I write start at the beginning, it is just opening cmd windows with "c:\users\imayneed\desktop" at the beginning.
I changed it back to shortcuts again, because I found the mistake. I typed ink isntead of lnk. I changed to lnk, but same thing, it is waiting for the first program to close.
And start command just opening cmd windows.
The thing is I had to use quotes like "c:\......" because my filenames has spaces in it. Do I need those quotes or not? Or should I change the shortcut names to one word so there won't be any spaces?

After I changed the shortcut names to one word, remove the quotes and put start in the beginning, it did work.

Sorry, you do need quotation marks around the line if you have a space in the path.
e.g.

"c:\users\jdobbsy1987\Short Cuts\test.lnk"

or

start "c:\users\jdobbsy1987\Short Cuts\test.lnk"

With start at the beginning and .LNK and quotation marks around the string are you still facing this issue (just so i know where we are up to )

I'm glad you got it working, strange that you needed to remove the space, quotation marks normally do the trick but you got it working which is the important thing

If you want to open multiple instances of documents as opposed to executables, PowerDesk works fine - using 7 on XP believe it is up to version 8 now (I have the free one (7 on XP) from Avanquest)
