Hi,
how to know if the temperature of your computer is to high?
It's a asus laptop, i downloaded SpeedFan and the temperatures are:

HD0: 48
Temp1: 37
Core0: 54
Core1: 54

It shows a green check sign on HD0, so i guess it's all good, blue down arrow on Temp1, don't know what that means and fire on Core0 and Core1, so i guess the temperatures are to high? Also the touchpad is very hot.
These temperatures are on idle.
Oh and it's Intel Pentium Dual CPU T2390 @ 1.86 GHz

Any thoughts would be apreciated. Thanks.

Ok, so i bought a cooling pad, which takes off a few degrees, it is now 50 - 51 celsius idle. When i played a 1080p video on youtube, the temperature got instantly up to 70-72 degrees.
Was wondering if i should check/replace the thermal grease.
The air blown out the vent is warm, and the touchpad is HOT. I am thinking it would blow out a really hot air if it was the old, dried out grease problem wouldn't it? Also the only part that could make the touchpad so hot is HDD right? Becouse they are just next to eachother, but SpeedFan shows good HDD temp.
Thoughts?
Thanks.

Must have ran something really big?

My laptop did not use to get hot when new, then it got hot because of all the dust in it and i started cleaning it, now even cleaned it gets very hot, especially the touchpad. It never been so hot.
I am already monitoring a maximum temperature of 73 celsius and that is after running two high quality videos on youtube. It is prety empty now so i can not test it with some programs but i bet it would easily get to 90+

Edit:

I just checked the thermal grease and as i suspected, it is dried out on the processor. There is still alot of it on ATI chip. It just got dried up in the center so i moved it a litlle bit to cover everything up. Gonna buy and apply some thermal grease to the CPU later this week.
