Isit a good idea to use NTFS compression

i wonder what are the advantages and disadvantage of using NTFS compression. i wonder does it slow things down alot?

u mean 2 compress your hard drive

if u do dont do this

right click your hard drive - properties - compress hdd

because it compresses ur bootmgr the boot manger that kinda starts ur computer

but if u want its safe to compress windows, users, program files

Do not use it on OS files. For user files it is possible, but the compression and uncompression will use time and resources. At the end I do not think it is worth it. At $70 for a 1TB drive, you are better off to buy big drives.
Some programs use compression automatically - e.g. imaging programs.
