Hi all,

I have recently created an Image using MDT 2012. The image is fine, however the Option for disabling the Windows Firewall is 'greyed out' and it states Some settings may be controlled by the system administrator.

1) I am logged on using a local admin account
2) The is a standalone PC and not part of a domain so nothing is being controlled via Group Policy

This is causing great problems - I am hoping someone else has came across this before and can provide an answer - I have found nothing on the Web of any use yet.

This is normally a sign that a group policy object has been applied. Have you changed the local group policy or security policy parameters at all? By default the group policy will be applied to all users regardless of privilege.

It may be worth trying OPTION TWO of this tutorial and see if that allows you to disable the firewall - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/214461-local-group-policy-reset-default.html

Hope This Helps,
Josh :)

I'm glad that you can now disable the firewall. It may be worth making a new thread about your other issues and someone may be able to help.
