Issues with 64-bit version of Office 2010?

I've been using Office 2010 Pro since last year with issue whatsoever, however I'm curious about issues the 64-bit version might have.

So are there any issues (performance or otherwise) that anyone has had or is having with the 64-bit version?

BTW I just realized my Academic download DOES have the 64-bit installer included. Silly me I just called Digital River asking about a 64-bit download link and when they sent me the same link I argued..... and got egg on my face because I hadn't realized I had the 64-bit installer all this time

Anyways I now want to try the 64-bit version but need to know of issues.

I've been using 64-bit Office 2010 since i migrated to 64-bit windows, i really haven't had any problems so far. but here you have a link i found:

Scroll down until you reach the "Disadvantages" and you'll see the limitations of the 64-bit Office 2010!

I use Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and NEVER had a single issue :huh:

My exclusives are Outlook (my world would crash down on me without it), Excel, Word. My main concern is outlook, followed by Excel.

The problem is third party tools which integrate with Office. These are the things which usually will not work, and hence the reason that Microsoft recommends against using 64bit Microsoft office. Unless using very large datasets with Access, I'm not sure you could find a performance gain with 64bit.

Thanks. I do have a an Access database containing my large music collection (albums & CD's). As for third party programs for Office, I don't use them.

The primary need for 64bit office is for Excel spreadsheets that exceed 2GB in size. Your large music collection is probably not a large database at all.

You are correct, In fact all my Office docs combined don't exceed 2gig.

However I do have an extensive music collection (1,500+ abums, 2500+ CD's) and counting

My Access database lists.....

Title
Tracks
Genre
Date
Format

My Excel spreadsheet includes pivot tables that breakdown into

Artist
Title
Genre
Format

Anyways those two data bases alone don't even amount to 10MB
