Solved K_MODE_NOT_HANDLED 0x0000001e random bsod.

I have been having random blue screens which can happen in a game or on the desktop.

Have run memtest86+ found no errors and used command sfc now and chkdisk, also no errors.

All my drivers are up to date and I do not overclock.

The only thing that comes up in my minidump is a driver called ntoskrnl.exe+b1a17

I have reinstalled windows multiple times but this has not fixed the problem.

Error message on a blue screen on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2: "STOP: 0x0000000A"

Another thing I should mention is I have had memtest fail before at test 7 with 13 errors. I have tried running it again but have never got any more errors. Maybe i should still get my memory sent off?

maybe you should try this hotfix at first? and if still the problem persists..then you can try doing that.

Hi,

I have been facing the same problem with my w520 running on win 7 professional x64 crashing on blue screen for stopcode 1E. The link above is a hotfix for stop code 0A. Just wanted to make sure that was what I need to install to fix the error on stopCode 1E.
And I have run memtest 64 for 8 passes and its fine. Harddisk error check is fine. BIOS is updated, No antivirus/malware detected.
And I get the blue screen even before I have a chance to login to windows.
I disabled the password for my account and tried booting it. The same thing happens.
The bluescreen shows up in SafeMode with Networking too.
I have tried running applications in safe mode for extended periods of time and its fine. Any other boot option and I see the blue screen.

This is an old thread. I would recommend that you start your own thread and follow the http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-debugging/96879-blue-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html through Safe Mode (the perfmon report cannot be created in Safe Mode). Collect the reports and transfer them to the system you are currently using to post. Upload them from that system.
