Hi:

Upgrading (or downgrading) the Windows OS (and even using "System Restore) often breaks security programs.
In order to run best on Win 10, it is advised to upgrade to KAV2016/KIS2016, as explained HERE

But, since you have rolled back to Win7....

AFAIK, it may be normal for Windows UAC to prompt when first running the program after an OS install.

Have you tried to perform a clean reinstall of KAV2015?

Basic steps:

  • Make sure you have your valid activation code handy, just in case
  • Download and save -- but do not run yet -- a fresh copy of KAV2015 from HERE, as explained HERE
  • Uninstall KAV from the Windows control panel, keeping ONLY license info (or nothing)
  • Reboot
  • ((Should NOT be necessary, but might be a good idea: download and run the Kavremover tool, then reboot))
  • Run the KAV installer, activate it, update it, configure it and reboot again
More details HERE

Let us know how it goes,

Hi:

That's great!:)
I'm glad you were able to resolve your issue and I'm glad I could help.

For the record, KAV2016/KIS2016 is now in General release.
It is the best build for Win10, but it does appear to have a few bugs and glitches.

At some point soon, you will probably want to upgrade from KAV2015 to KAV2016.
The upgrade is free as long as you have a valid license.
And the "clean" upgrade method will be the best way to do that.

Cheers,

When I upgraded from KAV2015 to KAV2016 it worked with Windows 10 no problems. When I went back to Windows 7 ( because I didn't like windows 10 ) KAV2016 causes a problem with IE 11. I no longer had "add to favorites" drop down menu and I couldn't "log off" of websites I logged onto. I had to uninstall KAV2016 and go back to KAV2015.

Going back to KAV2015 resolved these issues, and just a side note, when installing KAV2015 be SURE to uncheck the box that asks if you want to down load the latest version. AND disable KAV's "URL Advisor Plugin".

It seems KAV2016 still has issues when used with Windows 7
