KB3024777 Revisited

Hi, I need some help. I have once again been cursed with the "This copy of Windows is not genuine" message. Now I seem to remember that this happened before, some time last year. I was able to fix it by running the KB3024777 update. (Info found by Google'ing the message). So all well and good.

Now just last month I updated to Windows 10, (Which I liked by the way.) unfortunately my (Old) System had a hard time with this, hanging up and being generally much slower. So I decided to use the "Go Back to Windows 7" option, but after this was done, the "This copy of Windows is not genuine" started happening again! However, now thinking I must have somehow undone the KB3024777 fix, I tried to do it again. This time I click on the downloaded file, (It opens a window asking if I want to allow this to make changes to my system) but nothing else happens. No box opens to ask me to press RUN. Nothing.

So can you help?

As far as I am aware, my copy of windows is genuine, and I have a sticker on the bottom of my Laptop (All be it an old and unreadable one)!

No, can't read the sticker. Machine was purchased as refurbished w/windows 7 on it.
