kb3177467 does not appear in windows update.

Greetings, first of all apologize for my English is not my native language.

I have installed antivirus Eset Smart Security, which notifies me updated operating system.

This antivirus informs me an optional update KB3177467, but this does not appear to seek updates from windows update.

I will appreciate any information about this incident.

Thanks for your reply, indeed I can download the update from where mentioned, but I am intrigued not appear in windows update, I have searched the net this issue, and I've only found a forum where others also mentioned that does not appear to them, but not it delves into the subject.

KB3177467 just showed up in Windows update in my Windows 7 x64 Ultimate system as an optional update.
It did not require a restart.

I wouldn't worry about it it's a Optional update.

Wondering why eset is worried about such an update possibly review eset's settings and see if only Important updates is an option to select it check on

Today my eset antivirus notify me of new updates windows, and returns to the KB3177467 appear, but now categorized as critical. But still not displayed in windows update.

KB3177467 just appeared in my Windows Update udpate list.

It removed every other update that had been previously been shown (e.g. drivers, IE 11, GWX and telemetry stuff).

Is KB3177467 safe to install?

Seems KB3177467 is no longer optional. I hid the rollup security update earlier today and installed the security only version instead. Since then, KB3177467 has popped up (and I hid that POS as well). I'm furious enough with all this update bullcrap lately to chew nails and spit out thumbtacks (and sink them into oak!). It's already bricked one of my computers (and I haven't had time to fix it yet).

Yea MS stated some nonsense about installs being fragmented is why a lot of issues are seen
Quite frankly MS does a pretty good job of fragmenting installs all by themselves seems to me

I might add most I've noticed that were indeed "fragmented" were mostly on auto update

Hi all, this is my take on KB3177467. Initially an optional--MS changed it to Important. I'm running W7 Ultimate SP1, on 2 machines---both have this update installed via Auto updates since first offered. I'm also running W7 Pro SP1,-- on this Laptop. This update was being offered me maybe 4 times a day via Auto update---but never installed ---always failed. The reason being, it is NOT intended for W7 Pro SP1!! I tried to download and install manually. Download ok--but at the install, the message came up, this update is not for this platform. It shouldn't be offered for W7 Pro SP1. If you hide it, it should not be seen again. Why this happens, only MS can clarify---and they probably don't know---and care even less!!
