keyboard and trackpad stopped

hi all. my aunt was trying to install a wireless mouse and clicked cancel during the install and now the trackpad and keyboard dont work. i have tried to start it in all of the safe modes and the keyboard works on the bios screen but as soon as windows starts in safe mode or otherwise the keyboard and trackpad stop working. i have tried plugging a wired mouse and keyboard in and the same thing happens.

Some Notebooks have a key combination [Fn + one of the F keys] to disable the Touchpad and some like my wife's Toshiba have a switch to do it. None I've ever seen can have the keyboard disabled. Might pull the power cord out, remove the battery, let set for a few minutes then try again.
