Hi.
I have read through this forum many threads
about other users having the same problem
with the keyboard changes input language on it's own.

I have tried the following:
- Scanning the system files for corrupt files (SFC /Scannow).
- Changed the default language everywhere to the same language.
- Turned off every automatic change and hot keys I could find.
- I shut downed, restarted and logged off the computer multiple times to test.
- I started other programs to check if they had any effect on the input language.

But, still it keeps changing by it's own.
The next day it is the same problem.
The computer did not show any language then used the next day.
I wonder if I can lock the language in place with Group Policies? :sarc:
Has anyone tried Group Polices on this problem?

Hello Norway,

If you haven't already, double check to make sure that you have removed all other input languages except the one you want to use by default to see if that may help.

Hope this helps for now, :)

Hi, Brink
I did just that and the next day it came up empty in the Keyboards and Languages tab.
I also put every config setting I could find to the same language.
I also shut down, restarted and logged out multiple times to test the same day without any change.
So now I do not know anymore. :(
I am starting to think Group Policies is the way to try.

Unfortunately the user language is in Norwegian.
Also as far as I know the dialog windows does not show any clues to what's wrong.
But, I'll see if I can get some screenshots and post them.

Also a vital question:
Can I set a local group policy to lock the keyboard language in place,
even if the computer is joined in a domain?

Yes, but anything applicable set by the domain would override it.

Hi.
A colleague of mine tried and it seems he succeed to fix it.
He after what I was told deleted all the languages and added one language only.
Anyway, I talked to the user and she said it stuck this time apparently.
I'm setting it as solved.
