Keyboard problems

Hey guys...

I've been having some problems with my laptop keyboard lately.

I installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 with all the updates and newest drivers, antivirus protection and everything else needed.

Lately my keyboard has been acting strangely meaning that it's typing completely different characters than the ones I press on the keyboard. for example if I press e I get p, if I press d I get two or even three different characters. It is impossible to type like this because sometimes I have to correct the mistake a couple of times. I have to write this from my mobile phone otherwise it would took me at least half an hour to do it.

I've been searching for help on the internet but I couldn't find anything useful. I am sure it's not a virus because my avast didn't find any viruses.

Any ideas what should I do? USB keyboard is the last option...

Try scanning with http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/338716-malwarebytes-anti-malware-free.html to make sure Avast didn't miss anything. Remember to turn off auto quarantine in case it has any false positives.https://www.malwarebytes.org/support/guides/mbam/AdvancedSettings.html

It looks like it's not malware. The software found some items and put them in the quarantine. It found PUP.Optional.Conduit.A, PUP.Optional.ClientConnect and PUP.Optional.OpenCandy vendors. I'm not sure what is that but the keyboard problem is still present.

No worries I looked up your specs forgetting it was a lappy. Well if the keyboard is going wacky then to me its a virus or malware likely in your start up. Keyboards do get mind of their own but normally is because thier dirty or going bad and or its ribbon cable is damaged.
