Keyboard shortcuts mixed up

I've recently had this problem where some keyboard shortcuts aren't working or are performing incorrect functions. For example, ctrl+alt+del does nothing, while ctrl+c, in Chrome, opens up the Chrome Elements tab. In fact, while typing this, my shift key has suddenly stopped working and actually prevents me from typing anything when it is held. I'm using caps lock to type capitals. Actually, it seems that some letters it works fine for (like "A"), but some letters (like "O"), it opens my Chrome bookmarks...and now shift plus C is opening that damn Chrome Elements. Shift i is doing that too.

I'm assuming that it's some kind of virus, but so far neither Malwarebytes nor Avast have found anything. Also, it doesn't happen on startup - only hours afterwards. It also eventually stops happening.

Anyone know what this could be...question mark...it's not working right now. Is it definitely a virus or is my keyboard dying in a really weird way...question mark.

First make sure something like sticky keys isn't enabled

Or else your keyboard may well be on it's way out. A time-consuming and only potential (not guaranteed) fix could be to use a program called SharpKeys to remap all afflicted keyboard functions, but I wouldn't envy you the task :/

I found a spare keyboard, plugged it in and tested it. Sure enough, it worked. Plugged my old keyboard back in and it still doesn't work. Guess I'll have to get a new keyboard then. Thanks for all the help, everyone :)
