When I was going to download a coupon I had to download a downloader. I got lots of bad stuff with it. Hubby deleted it, but when I reinstalled Avast it found files left from Motitags.
Can anyone tell me how to find the reports in Avast? I have a free copy. After installing and running a scan it found lots of virus' and malware but did not bring up a report.
How to remove Motitags Toolbar. Follow the directions here & run the recommended programs. After installing the free version of Malwarebytes, be sure to uncheck the "Enable free trial of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Pro" box.
Since you put the AV on after the PC was infected, there is a chance the AV didn't get it all, as some of the malware may have corrupted the data in the AV. Be sure to do a full system scan with the listed malware scanners.
