Laptop Lenovo SL500 Thinkpad - Headphone not plugged in

Hi, I'm using Windows 7 and the thing is my laptop only recognizes it's internal audio device. When I plug in the external speaker, or anything, it always says: Headphone not plugged in (In the Sound symbol - Playback devices). Can anyone help me? Thank you very much

First step, reinstall the Conexant Audio driver. Lenovo does not list a Windows 7 driver but they do list a Vista driver and it should be Win 7 compatible.

I'm sorry but my OS is 32 bit and your file could not run. So I downloaded from here: Conexant Audio Driver for Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit), Vista (32-bit, 64-bit), XP - ThinkPad - Lenovo Support (US) but I couldn't finish both the Windows 7 and Vista version , as there was this error:

The Lenovo site lists this driver for both Vista 64 and 32 bit. The driver I linked is the specific driver for your model and should install.
