Laptop not starting, has power tho?

Laptop starts up with quick flash of acer and the f2 option, f12 opition.
I'm not sure what has happend?
I've missed placed all disks that came with it.
Do I have to buy a new op system?
Not sure what to do?
Help would be much appreciated as I have know idea

I have no error messages.. Just a quick flash of acer with f2 & 12 opinions, then a dull screen.

Okay, I would begin following the troubleshooting steps within the tutorial provided.

I will begin the trouble shooting steps tomorrow when I get home from work.
Plz keep watch as I'm not confident that I'll be able to fix this.
