Lenovo laptop not starting after windows update

Today in the morning I shut down my Lenovo w510 win 7 ultimate 64

It said it had to install one update which it did and then shut off

When I rebooted it came up with the think pad screen the drive icon lights up for a sec and then it doesn't do anything. Tried to use the blue think vantage button but didn't work.

Let it sit for a while just in case but nothing happens. The drive light never comes on

Any help would be appreciated

Not sure what happened. After letting it sit for a while it completely shut off. Seems like when it is on the think pad screen the fan isn't running and some sort of overheat protection kicked in. After letting it cool down it started and finally booted into windows
