Every time I try to wake my Lenovo G570 laptop from manual hibernation I get the following message:

“Windows Resume Loader
Your computer can't come out of hibernation

Status: 0xC000000D.

Info: A fatal error occurred processing the restoration data.

File: \hiberfil.sys

Your computer will be rebooted. Any information that was not saved before the computer went into hibernation will be lost.

Enter=Reboot”

Pressing enter lets me boot as normal.

I've tried disabling and enabling hibernation via the command prompt command: powercfg -h on/off but the problem persists.

This problem started after I ran chkdsk when trying to fix a boot problem that occurred after experiencing a BSOD (on two occasions it got stuck on the "Starting Windows" splash screen when booting). This chkdsk did fix some errors.

I've ran a memory test and a System File Check but neither has reported any problems.

I'm not sure if this is related to this hibernation problem, but a SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION BSOD crash occurred today.

Try turning off Hibernate, reboot, run Disk Cleanup followed by a Defrag, then re-enable Hibernate.

If this fails test the HD with the maker's http://www.carrona.org/hddiag.html extended CD scan, followed by another Disk Check.

If this is the factory install then that's the worst install of Win7 one can have, which no tech enthusiast would run. I'd strongly consider a http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219487-clean-reinstall-factory-oem-windows-7-a.html#post1839164 to enjoy for the first time on that PC native Win7 perfect performance.

Re-installing Windows would be my last resort.
Try turning off Hibernate, reboot, run Disk Cleanup followed by a Defrag, then re-enable Hibernate.

If this fails test the HD with the maker's Hard Drive Diagnostic Procedure extended CD scan, followed by another Disk Check.
Should I delete everything highlighted in the Disk Cleanup?
Also, I forgot to mention I've already defragged.
