By how much?, I don't know.

I don't see much of any performance increase with 9.12 at all with the tests I ran. A little bump in a video memory bandwidth benchmark is about it. Pretty much the same as 9.11 for me. :/

I did see some performance improvement(s) in Crysis and NFS: Shift.

They also fixed the Thermal Scope issues in MW2.

EDIT: Very solid IMO.

Is it always Better to update driver even if
the laptop is working well with no issues ?

cos Ati has ne drivers every month
& is it ok to just Instll them on the old ones
or Remove everything of the old one (manger & driver)
then Install new Driver

Hello Lord Vader,

It's usually best to read the release notes on a new driver to see if what is new for it may benefit you any before installing them. If not, then I would not worry about it. If so, then it will not hurt to give it a try. If it doesn't workout, then you can alway rollback the driver in Device Manager, or uninstall the new one and reinstall the old one.

yes it fix the fps issue (150 to 180 with 40 cars on track,now)

Yes clean install, i uninstall everything and reinstall 9.10 but only the display driver. :cool:

It work for me like that, i wish i could use catalist but i am back on track for now.

What exactly was your issue?

To have both the latest drivers and CCC:

•Download and install Driver Sweeper from:
Guru3D - Driver Sweeper


• Uninstall ATI Catalyst Install Manager from "Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features"

(If Catalyst Install manager is not installed, uninstall the drivers through device manager)

Go to Control Panel\View by: Small/Large icons\Device manager. In Device manager select Display Adapters :

•In Display Adapters right-click on your device and select uninstall. Tick the box that says "Delete the driver software for this device"


• Re-Boot into Safe Mode and run Driver Sweeper (to ensure complete removal of items, Run Driver Sweeper as admin. "Right-click Driver Sweeper > properties > Compatibility tab tick 'Run this program as Administrator' "

• In Driver Sweeper select the ATI- Display only and then Analyse:

• Now select Clean to remove all ATI software:

Re-boot normally and install the 9.12 official drivers.
