See if running CCleaner with "Run as administrator" (right click on shortcut) may allow it to be deleted afterwards.

I have always thought registry cleaners cause more problems than they solve.I always recommend people don't use them.

I share your distaste for reg cleaners, but C(rap)Cleaner is a bit more than a reg cleaner. In the wrong hands, Explorer is a dangerous tool.

It isn't the well-designed tool that is the problem. It is the usage - and all too often, the over usage.
