Certainly took quite some time, and what's with all the 3D love? Seems that's all it is. Reading mixed bag results on these from other places.

I've held off on these for the moment.

Lot of users reporting up and down GPU spikes with Firefox and it's HA, and just idling on desktop introduced by this set. Some on about it bringing back the 59hz and Windows logo flicker bugs back, and higher temps/fans coming on higher frequently also.

The main Nvidia guy had said these were going to be re-released as WHQL in just a few days , but it sounds as if he's accepted some of these bugs and they're going to work on them - hopefully.

From what I've been seeing around the interwebs, doesn't' look like they've fixed any of those bugs they introduced in 280.19 in these 280.26's.

They are good for Optimus systems - our NVIDIA cards are rarely spun up anyways.

OpenGL Driver Support
Windows driver version 280.28 and Linux drivers version 280.10.01.02 provide full support for OpenGL 4.2 and GLSL 4.20 on capable hardware. This driver also supports several new OpenGL extensions for both 4.2-capable GPUs and older GPUs. The driver download links are at the bottom of this page.

You will need any one of the following Fermi based GPU to get access to the OpenGL 4.2 and GLSL 4.20 functionality:

I've returned to the 270.61, the 275.33 and the new 280.26 are both buggy for me. I get improperly rendered colors in Corel and Adobe CS5 along with a yellowish background in Windows pic viewer.

I'm still sticking with 270.61 and will update when they resolve all the bugs.

The only issue I've had are Broken Images in FF5, had to change some settings to force it to load broken images.
