I don't game much but I do need good graphics for PS so would Beta drivers be an advantage ?

I don't think they would for graphics Steph. If things are stable with 337.88 I'd stick with it until the new ones go WHQL. Having said that it wouldn't hurt to try them though, you can always roll back if there are issues. I'm staying with 337.88 for a while.

New update from NVidia

I don't know if this wis relevant to all users but I have a NVidia GTX 650 Ti card and just got a message re the latest update and it had quite a bit of improvements included though I am not an expert to say.

The update was fairly hefty - GeForce 340.52 and included graphics , 3D graphics and audio.

Thanks Airbot I checked my GUI and still had the old 340 "model" and checked for updates and there was your link. Now I am a bit peeved as I usually get up[dates automatically and am wondering why I had to manually check this time. Still at least I saw the post

Addit My screen has transformed into something else with this driver and I have had the new Samsung monitor now for a few weeks and have played with it endlessly and only got a mediocre screen. But now it is just the best ever!!

Just installed and maybe coincidentally got a lock up not long after while browsing the forums. One hard reset later and it's time to game to see if the driver was the issue.

Over an hour on The Evil Within with no problems. Must have just been a coincidence.

The DSR function seems to work pretty good. I tried it in BFBC2, BF3, and BF4. It did not seem to work in BF3 but good in the other two games.

Driver seems very stable, will try a few benchmarks later to compare.

No, it did not crash. For BF3 it just did not take. I will try it again and edit this.

Just tried it again and it worked
