hey v1j4y. I "repacked" the 8918 FF06 HDA X64 driver with more INF files including the HDXSGMA4.inf file (found in the WIN64 folder) a few days ago. remove/uninstall the 8918 HDA X64 edition from FMWorld and install this repacked 8918 FF06 X64 driver (still WHQL for 64bit Win10 though) .

originating source for generic 8978 FF00 HDA driver is Lenovo from this download

due to very few new HDA driver releases this year 2020, there is a 6.0.9024.1 HDA FF00 beta driver from Station Drivers available (digitally signed by Realtek, not by MS - so it's non-WHQL)

my sound system sounds great, after reading about install snags here, I must ask, do I really need this update on W 7.
As well, I have often cringed a little about your old avatar, but this time of year, your new one is not exactly a up grade, I'd stay out of the woods for a while.

If your audio sounds great, then I wouldn't worry about trying to manually update the drivers.
