the installer keeps coming up with an error:

hmmm I used control panel. Ive just used that uninstaller you pointed me to and it still crashes on install. Its the activex component installer.

I've done everything you've provided to get Flash Player 10.1 Beta 2 installed but I still get that stupid D51 Windows error over and over again. I really hope Silverlight 3.0 and 4.0 take off like a rocket since Adobe makes some of the ****tiest ****ing programs EVAR! Flash SUCKS on YouTube!

This is a security update. If you're not using 10.1 Beta 2, it's recommended to update to 10.0.45.2

   Information

A critical vulnerability has been identified in Adobe Flash Player version 10.0.42.34 and earlier. This vulnerability (CVE-2010-0186) could subvert the domain sandbox and make unauthorized cross-domain requests. This update also resolves a potential Denial of Service issue (CVE-2010-0187).

The firefox plugin still crashes for me just after it completes its install. I made sure firefox wasnt running before installing. IE version installed ok.
