As of April 21, the latest version of VirtualBox is 4.0.6 and can be downloaded from VirtualBox

I would also recommend getting the 4.0.6 extension pack for VirtualBox (adds USB 2.x support, etc).

If you upgrade from 4.0.x to 4.0.6 you must also upgrade any installed extension packs (remove old ones, and install latest one).

Also, you will probably have to disable your a/v or firewall-a/v package to get the extensions pack to install (which is what I did), installed successfully, then re-enabled firewall-a/v.

Version 4.1.2 is much better than 4.0.8, which I used on Win8 build 7989, the Dev is running very well on 4.1.2 and very little troubleshooting.
