MBAM is malwarebytes and addon support is for left 4 dead

the faq sheet couldn't give you anything to go on i know for sure you version is blocked 0.0.0.0 that is registry error the current version is like 1.065 or something

I would go to the steam folder and to go STEAM APPS then the folder written COMMON and delete the LEFT4DEAD2 folder then re download it has to be something corrupt in that folder

I removed malwarebytes and its associated regs and files.

Same problem.



I have already tried deleting and downloading the game again.

I have already contacted steam support, been a month and no actual help.

I have posted a question on steam forums: Left 4 Dead 2 Will not start - Steam Users' Forums - I have already posted all the information here.

But seeing the crash report it must be something to do with the pc not steam ? I'm not the only one. Obviously they should release an update to get round this problem.

When was the last time you checked for errors on your drives? Or, at least a security check?
Malwarebytes : Free Anti-Malware

Also, most games need a paging file to run, so would it kill to stick an 80GB spin-drive in there?
You'll also need to run the Windows Memory Diagnostic, and MemTest86+ to check for failing memory.

Do you still have the dump from the last crash? This looks like a common segmentation fault.

btw, what do you mean by an 80gb spin drive ?

He means use a regular hard drive with at least 80 gb of space
