Bought this WI-FI booster, and the installation disk is in Chinese. The instructions are in English, but point to pics with instructions in Chinese. Anyone know how to install it on a Windows 7 laptop?

Thanks for any help.

In your System Specs you had the Shift key pressed when entering the Memory [RAM] amount.

Might see if the driver here will work:

Fixed the memory error. I got a 2012 driver from their web site. What I need to know is how and when to install that, plus other software that might be on the CD, which I can't understand because it is in Chinese.

Usually just double-clicking that file will install the driver/s. Don't know Chinese either but probably the only useful software would be a utility for managing or setting up the device. Can only try the drivers to get at least basic use.

I guess I could try that. The little bit of English that makes any sense is to install the driver before plugging in the unit. Will wait awhile and see if someone who has successfully installed the software pipes in.

Thanks.

OK! Think I got it all figured out. If you plug the booster into a USB port Windows will find the driver for it. It may be on the mini CD that comes with the unit, but one would have to be able to read Chinese to figure out how to install it from there. From there, I think this right, you can go into your Network and Sharing Center and then on the left click on Change Adapter Settings. Choose the Wireless Network Connection USB Wireless Lan Card and choose a network to set up. Or something like that. I haven't tried to set up a connection yet. I got the booster for when RV'ing to boost the WI FI signals which are usually weak.

Mainly the mini CD is a Linux program. You have to boot from it so that it runs Linux and the program. The program is called Beini and it is a program that will try to crack into any wireless networks it finds. This is all in English,:D at least. It warns you that it is illegal to crack someone else's WI FI, and to use only on your own.

I may have more tweaking to do, but it'll have to wait till I'm on the road.

I am not a webmaster. But I also bought one of those Chinese items, which at the end it worked. Here's the secret. Go to your hard disk with Windows Explorer and make a folder and name it; like: LENGUANG120; or any other name. Go to the CD using Windows Explorer and right click the file (????????); then click where it says "open." There, you will find four files 8187; one for MAC, one for Windows XP, one for Vista, and the last one for Windows 7: All those files have 32bit and 64bit. Choose the file for the operating system you are using. Do the same operation: Right click, then click to “open”, shade and copy all the files that you found there, and paste them in the folder LENGUAN100 you made. From there begin the installation, and follow all the instructions. I hope this can be of help to you. I think that we learned something important: The right mouse button is not ornamental. If a file does not open with a click or two; the right button is our only option for invisible files. It has been a pleasure. Sincerely, Javier.

Hi Guys,

I bought the Languang LG-N120 WIFI Antenna and after connecting it to my windows 7 SP1 laptop the windows find the driver but the network card is connecting and disconnecting repeatedly and there is a sound of putting in and taking out USB device.
There is no sign of driver issue at the device manager but it seems to me to be a driver issue. I opened the CD I received with the product and found the driver under the 8187 but when updating the driver via device manager it is saying that the driver installed is up to date

Did someone had this problem? Can someone assist?
