The manual of your computer doesn't say anything about installing Windows 7. So it really is a hit or miss but you could shrink your Windows 10 partition and install Windows 7 on that partition to still have your Windows 10 installation but you will also have Windows 7 as well.

I have done this to my Lenovo ThinkPad L460 and it works flawlessly.

What is the exact serial number on yours?

According to the system specs in your profile, it's an 8th generation "Whiskey Lake" laptop.

Its Intel UHD Graphics 620 integrated graphics device has drivers only for Windows 10 64-bit.

You have THIS Lenovo IdeaPad S145-15IWL Type 81S9 Model 0005BR laptop which was purchased in September 2020 (still under warranty) and came with Windows 10 Home 64-bit.

Its support site obviously has device drivers only for Windows 10 64-bit.

Windows 7 doesn't have native support for USB3, so you need to integrate USB3 drivers into the install media.

The idea that i wanted to do this came from a friend, who installed Windows 7 in a 2018 laptop using GIGABYTE's tool, but reading from here, it seems awful


So i made a USB stick with it (before reading from here, uh), but i might try the "Windows 7 Image Updater", seeing as other people with 8th gen Intel processors got Win 7 working with it.

The entire integration process took about 25 minutes and worked fine for me.

I can now do a clean install of Windows 7 in a computer that has a USB3 controller, and the keyboard and mouse will work fine.

For me it didn't work, it would still spam "There are needed drivers that aren't installed"

It depends. The usb drivers in the gigabyte tool only work for a few machines. The usb3 stack in my updater Update your Win 7 installation media is much more widely applicable. I think Ataks updater also uses the usb3 stack.

I think there are no drivers for mine, Atleast Atak's tool doesnt include them

New generation hardware requires some drivers (SATA, USB3.x, NVMe) that are not on the Win 7 installation files. That is why you don't have mouse and or don't see the drive. You have to add those drivers to the installation media.
SIW2 has made a script and attached most drivers to his Win 7 installation files updater

I recommend you don't add Simplix to the Media.
Run it after the installation. Single file with all updates - Simplix
