I need lightscribe software for a hp dvd burner I upgraded from vista to 7 and hp don't have it that I can find

Built my first computer (8Mhz 8088cpu, 640K RAM, 20MB HDD, 2 360K floppy drives) in 1985 and have been building them for myself, relatives and friends ever since.
i downloaded that it still says i have no lightscribe drive
and it says lightscribe on the drive

It's been a long time since I've used Lightscribe (IMO not worth the bother). Are you getting that message when you try to install the software or when you try to burn a disk? If you get it when trying to burn a disk, are you using the special Lightscribe disks?

Was it working before you upgraded from Vista?

I don't use the lightscribe software. I use the hardware version. :)
