Solved Limited access on wireless network

I couldn't check yet, seems there something else wrong with my laptop, it has started making odd noises coming from the cooling fan or processor so i had to shut it down, i'll check it when its cooled down

Do I read correct..problem started yesterday??? Do a "system restore" to a date when everything was fine. This for sure puts registry stuff back

No restore points? Why didn't you enable it??

Microsoft fix-it did not work?
In elevated command prompt:

netsh winsock reset catalog

then reboot. Works?

But I think it only resets setting to default. Not permissions

Nothing found on internet. Only to reset the settings.
Are you willing to do an upgrade install?
Or do you want to troubleshoot further?

Did you install/uninstall any application after or just before (so it was busy) 28/07/2012 15:22?
Control Panel->uninstall programs. Gives you the list. Sort it on install date. Any programs?

display your windows update history. What has been installed on or after 28/07/2012?
Disable automatic updates NOW please

If my trick succeeds and you go back to 28/07/2012 15:22 you have to do afterwards:

• reinstall applications you installed after 28/07/2012 15:22 (you see soon enough that it's not working)
• uninstall applications again you uninstalled after 28/07/2012 15:22. If not possible... install application again and uninstall it. Registry settings are still there but corresponding files are missing.

Not that important.
