Hi, welcome to Seven forums.

Did you try any other device to see if that is getting connected to the wireless network? If yes, then the issue might be with the laptop. I will suggest to update the LAN and wireless drivers online. Make sure the drivers are properly installed and if any update is available install that as well for both LAN and Wireless.

Keep us posted.

How did you try to update the drivers, via Window update? You can go to LAN and Wireless manufacturer's website and check for latest drivers they have for your hardware. If you can mention the laptop's model, maybe we can suggest you the correct drivers.

You have two connections. Your wireless connection is unable to receive a valid DHCP scope from a server. You also have a mobile broadband connection which I am assuming is what you are using to speak to us? Is the wireless connection meant to have an internet connection?

Try the following for your wireless connection:

169.254.xxx.xxx is an autoconfiguration IPv4 address. Can you please temporarily disable any anti-virus and firewall applications and then test connectivity as these could be the cause.

Also can you please boot the machine into safe mode with networking and test connectivity to remove the possibility of a third party application being the cause.

Follow this tutorial (OPTION ONE ONLY) - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/69585-safe-mode.html

   Note
Please replace all references of 'Safe Mode' with 'Safe Mode with Networking'

Please post back your results along with a new IP config when you are booted into Safe Mode with Networking

Josh :)

Your previous post had an IP configuration of the machine when booting normally. When you are in safe mode with networking simply do the same thing and then upload the results back here ;)

Also, can you test your wireless connection when you are in Safe mode.

Are other devices able to connect to the network successfully? Do you know if DHCP is running on your router?

Also, can you make sure that the following radio button is set on your interface settings:

This is an issue on the router side of things. What is the make/model of the router in question? Do you have control of it?
