Loads of people on here dont even have Windows 7

Many members on this forum use more than one computer and more than one operating system.

Why would that be a problem?

Jack I belong to this forum but use Windows 10, but that's because I've moved through the OSs so joined each forum as and when I needed to. I also belong to Vistax64, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10. I started with Windows 98 then moved to WinMe then XP followed by Vista which is when I joined this great family of forums. Before these forums we had the Microsoft Newsgroups which were a great source of help.

So as Jack told you there are lots of reasons people may be here.

I don't think its any kind of prerequisite that one has W7 to be a member of the group. Besides, how would anyone know?

On all of John's (owner/operator) forums the only this that is required is to register and do your best to follow the forum rules.

A lot of folks initially joined this Forum because they were thinking about upgrading to Windows 7. The Forum is a pretty good source of information both pro and con. Helps people decide if they want 7, stick with an earlier version, or jump into the latest and greatest.

There's a smaller group of people who might be the family and/or friend computer guru. Perhaps the friend is having a problem and the Forum is being used as a research reference. I don't see anything sinister if a member uses something other than Windows 7.

Use many Operating Systems including Win7, never going to rely on the latest MS moneymaker.

Not having Windows 7 isn't a problem I tihnk. As long as someone knows about it, or wants to know about it, it's enough for me.

And if we take it even more seriously, the vast majority of topics here aren't specific to Windows 7 at all! With a few differencies, 8, 10, XP, or maybe even non-Windows can fit some questions and answer here. As long as it's keep on topic, I don't see any problem members not having Windows 7 specifically.
