Lock ups on underheavy load.

OK new to the forums so hi to everyone that can hopefully help me on this.

I've recently started getting hard locks when under heavy load. Specifically whilst in game playing Battlefield BC2. I was having a few work load issues with my newly crossfired 6870's so updated the BIOS to 1304 (previously on 905). This is when I started getting the hard locks.

The error I'm getting is

kernel power event id 41 task 63

I've been racking my head over this for the past couple of weeks. Though only now have I searched the error, instad of just hardlocks.

The build is this

Win7 Ultimate 64bit
Asus crosshair IV Formula (BIOS 1304)
AMD Phenom II x6 1090T (clocked to 3.9) 1.42v
Crosair D0minator 8GB (4x2gb sticks 6-6-6-21)1.66v (Think that's right reading it off of CPUID)
CreativeLabs Xtremegamer
CrossfireX 6870 MSi Twin Frozr OC (standard clocks for this are 920/1050 voltage is at 1.2)

I've read on various sites tonight about sound drivers being a cause, so with that I have disabled al sound drivers bar the Xtremegamer and it still does it.

Ran the system with just one 6870 in and it still locks, swapped them over same thing.

Putting the 2 5770's back in cures the problem, but then I ahve poor sound when loading between rounds.

I thought this might've been down to PSU failure, as I'd read this could be a sympton, along with the hardlocks. Turns out that isn't it either.

I've created a DMP file,(following this but for some reason it won't allow me to compress the file, with ZIP or RAR. Saying I don't have permissions. Now seeing as I'm the only user of this system and I sign in as Admin I don't understand why it wont allow me to zip/RAR it.

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.



To ensure minidumps are enabled:

Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
OK your way out.
Reboot if changes have been made.

Seems I may have sorted it. It would appear MSI Afterburner doens't agree with a ful work load on the system and CrossfireX. A friend started having the same problems, disabled it and it was all fine. I uninstalled it, and just been working fine for the past hour.
