When I log into any administrator account, after the "Welcome" screen finishes, it hangs for about 6 seconds on a black screen (if aero is enabled)
and a 'windows blue color' screen (if classic theme is enables)

This does not happen on a standard/guest account
This happens on a new adminstrator account
This happens on a standard account which is upgraded to a admin account.

The Welcome screen dissapears quite quickly, so its not a slow login issue.

Any help would be great

Welcome to the windows 7 forums.

By any chance are you using a dual monitor setup?
If so have you gone to the display settings and made the changes necessary
for what comes up as primary screen for that userid?

Also the GPU has not been overclocked at all just the CPU which overclocks via a multiplier so independent on anything else.

Have you visited the overclockersclub.com forums to see if they have some help?

From the inputs here, there doesn't seem to be anyone with that much experience in your system problems.

sorry but bumping your thread could get you banned and I am sure that you really don't want that..

Good luck

Rich
