Hey ! I am looking for an RSS reader that will take an OPML file and start reading and STORING my RSS feeds on my hard drive... Something with a nice interface.. Paid is possible Thanks !!
Not the answer you are looking for but my RSS reader of choice is Google Reader. Enables me to handle the feeds, the msgs, from any computer since Google is storing the RSS feed data for me.
I'd rather fight than switch back to any other reader.

Yes omea imports feeds locally. However the reader doesnt appear to be in development. I have recently been using RSS Bandit which is due for a major new release sometime this year with a new ribbon based ui. Im currently using Windows Live Mail for feeds.
I just tried the Windows Live Beta for feeds, it looks GREAT and I really love it out of all apps, but let's say I want to install a new OS tomorrow and backup all of my feed data, is it possible ? Will try Feedbook now ! Thanks
Yes. You need to do this from IE. Go to File menu, then import and export. Export to a file. Select Feeds. Chose a location and filename to save them as. Then select what you want to export and hit next.
eSobi - Very nice but 20$, I'll think about it ! Re Windows Liv backup, this only backs up the OPML with the feed channels, how can I backup the channel + downloaded data ? Where is the Windows Live Mail data file ?
I wouldnt even consider paying for an rss reader. As for backing up the actual posts. I believe those are read from the website in question remotely. Not sure why you'd want to back the posts up. Also when you install an rss reader it typically reads the first [number] of posts each install.
Oh, I found that Windows Live Mail Beta can export all the RSS feeds as word documents when you hit Menu-export messages Sweet !!! Windows live mail looks best, performs best and has the most features. Thanks swarfega !
