Solved Looking for free hardware analyser

Greetings,
I have a USB3 card installed in my desktop but owing to troubles with Windows I've had to flatten the system which has also, obviously, lost me the drivers for it. Trouble is, I have no idea whatever on the make of the card. No doubt I could pull it and have a look, but this is a real PITA because of the location of the PC. Is there some software that will go and identify it for me?

I use this: HWiNFO, HWiNFO32 & HWiNFO64 - Hardware Information and Analysis Tools - which does much more than identify your hardware. Makes a great job of doing that, but also tells you temp's of everything in your system, fan speeds, peripherals, you name it.

There is also www.aida64.com - which is simply hardware ID. Have not used it myself, so not a personal recommendation, but a mate says he likes it.

Taking the card out may be a PITA, but if you cannot get the result you want from the above, it may be necessary. unplug it, remove it, uninstall any associated software. Switch off PC, replace card, switch on, let Windows find it as "Found New Hardware" and let windows install drivers.

Thanks all. That HWinfo is red hot! Unfortunately it didn't quite give me enough so I had to haul it out. For what it's worth it's a Transcend PDU3. All sorted now. Thanks again.
