Looking for Unobtrusive AV Program

Since I have Comcast Cable, I have been using the free Norton software. It works great but bogs down my computer. I'm willing to pay for a program that does a good job but doesn’t bog down the system.
Running Windows 7 Professional.
Any suggestions?

Hi,
I don't believe anyone now days relies on a single security suite,
One tip is just because you pay for something doesn't mean you get any value out of the deal
Most of the Other votes are for MSE Microsoft security essentials,
With the pay for version of Malwarebytes,
And another dash of SAS Superantispyware "Free" version is fine as wine,
So Yes I count on 3 to keep things clean and mean as hello
