I currently have ATI Radeon X1200 as my graphics driver. I want to change it to something else because alot of the games I want to play seem to have... 'issues' with it. Whether it's the floor isn't rendered, or you can't see things. It always seems to be ATI though, other drivers aren't a problem. Also more often than not, my games lag quite alot, although I don't have anything open except the game when I'm playing.

Basically, I'm looking to change it. Does anyone have any guides on how to do it? And recommendations for the best drivers? Thank you. :)

Just incase it's needed, these are my specs:

Toshiba Equium A300D
Windows 7 Ultimate 32Bit
2GB RAM
DirectX 11
AMD Turion Processor.

Your driver is tied to your hardare. The only way (IMHO) to change the driver is to change the hardware.

You can however use newer versions of the same driver.

Great... From what I've heard, you can't change the hardware for graphics in laptops either. Is that wrong? If it is, is there websites to buy the hardware? I would use google but I may aswell get a direct answer while I'm here.

Thank you again :)

While it is possible to change the hardware it is expensive, and difficult. Often it is cheaper to buy a new rig.

Laptops are not optimal gaming machines because of heat.

Hope you're not spending too much time looking for a new driver for it, because there isn't one. Main reason for that is that ATI never made one as they dropped support for all GPU's (desktop and laptop) prior to the HD 2xxx series back in early 2010. The last driver they released was legacy driver for Vista,

ATI Catalyst

which with your laptop being a Toshiba, I can guarantee that it will not install without a little help. You take the above driver and you use this,

Mobility Modder - ATI Version, Install the Latest Drivers on your ATI laptop

to add the necessary info to it so that it will (or should) install. Failing that the only other choice for a driver is either whatever Toshiba has for your model as far as a Vista driver goes (if any), or using whatever default driver for it Windows installs.

Your laptop has an integrated graphic chip and can not be updated to a better one, that said you have a couple of options. Install more system memory as you only have 2 Gigs of memory and that memory is being shared with the graphic card, that means if your graphic card is set to use 500 MB then you will only have 1.5 Gigs of memory left over for your system and this is very little for Windows 7. You can look to see if you can manually set the amount of graphic card to use but many were controlled by the OS according to the amount of physical memory was available.
On top of that you laptop is only running DDR memory which is slow compared to DDR2 and DDR3 memory of today.
On top of that your HD and over all system bus is not built for playing graphic intensive games.
