Lost ability to use Microsoft Update

Today I was adjusting some settings in Windows Update and made the mistake of unchecking the box that said "give me updates for Windows and other Microsoft products".

Now I cannot get the updates for Office 2013 like I could last month.

And now when I go into Windows Update and click on the "find out more" link where it says "get Updates for other Microsoft Products" - instead of going to Microsoft Update - I get this link:

Microsoft Windows Update

Which simply displays two lame graphics on how to get to Windows update via the Start Menu.

Even the main Windows update site has been altered...(update.microsoft.com)

http://update.microsoft.com/

Clearly something is going on at MS - as it seems "Microsoft Update" is gone.

Also - I now have my ESET 8.x NOD32 complaining about "missing system updates". When I view what's hanging out there via the ESET interface - I see a boatload of "critical" Office 2013 updates that probably shouwl be installed.

But I cannot get anything for Office 2013 via Windows update now.

Any ideas on how I can restore the normal Microsoft Update service - if it is in fact still available?
